Fly to Bangalore, but why? You might question as the city is not very popular as a tourist destination. Though the tourism industry is still in its infancy here, the city can be an excellent gateway for some well-known tourist destinations in India. These beautiful places are located within 300 km from Bangalore and it will hardly take more than 5 hours to reach any of these by car.
  • Coorg: Located about 280 km south-west of Bangalore, Coorg is a beautiful city nestled in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. Also known as Kodagu, it fascinates tourists with its mesmerizing valleys, hills and acres of coffee plantation. Famous for its beautiful tea, coffee and cardamom plantation, it is visited all year round by tourists and vacationers from around the world. Fly to Bangalore and visit this enchanting place. It won’t take more than 5 hours to cover the distance by car. Trekking and rafting are popular tourist activities here.

  • Chikmagalur: Known as Coffee Land of Karnataka, Chikmagalur is an evergreen tourist hotspot set in a tranquil atmosphere, in the foothills of Mullayanagari range. The landscape is filled with coffee plantation areas, but also dotted with landmarks of architecture and history. It will hardly take 4 hours to cover nearly 250 km from Bangalore to Chikmagalur. Explore the area and find notable attractions, such as the famous Kondadarama Temple and a diverse variety of birds and animals.

  • Wayanad: Located in north-east Kerala, Wayanad is about 5 hours from Bangalore by car.   • Yercaud: The last but not the least is Yercaud, a hill station located in the Salem District of Tamil Nadu, just 230 km south of Bangalore.
